Nokia has unveiled its first phones based on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system.


The two new phones, branded as ‘Lumia', are the first collaboration on mobile devices between Nokia and Microsoft, since the pair announced a strategic partnership in February.
Both Lumia models run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon S2 1.4 GHz processor, with hardware acceleration and graphics processor, with 3.7 inch touch screen and Carl Zeiss cameras.
The Lumia 800 has 16GB embedded memory, an 8 megapixel, instant-share camera, and an AMOLED ClearBlack curved display, and is available in cyan, magenta and black. The phone includes social networking functions, along with Internet Explorer 9, Nokia Music application, Nokia Drive personal navigation device (PND) and 25GB of free SkyDrive storage for storing images and music.
The Lumia 710 has a 5 megapixel camera, with 8GB embedded memory, and comes with exchangeable back covers for customization.
The phones will be available in select countries in Europe next month, and Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan before the end of the year. Estimated retail price for the Lumia 800 is 420 euros ($585) while the Lumia 710 is 270 euros ($376).
