Build Your Home Wireless Network using Windows 7 Connection Sharing



Building your home wireless network will help you to share your Internet connection, printer, photos, music and videos.
There is a wizard in Microsoft Windows 7 will help you in creating a wireless Ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network.
To start doing this, first make sure that your wireless network card is defined then
  1. Open the network and sharing center. Figure (1)

  1. Click on Setup a new connection network link. Figure (2)

  1. Setup a Wireless Ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network. Figure (3)

  1. Now Click Next. Figure (4)

  1. In the Next step, you will give your network a name and choose the security options you want. Figure (5)

  1. The wizard will complete the Network Setup. Figure (6)

  1. Now your Network is ready and will appear in the list of wireless networks. Figure (7)

  1. Go to Network and Sharing Center again and click on Manage Wireless Networks. Figure (8)

  1. You will find your Network appears in the list of the wireless Networks. Figure (9)

  1. Also you will find it in the list of the wireless Networks when clicking on the wireless icon in the systray. Figure (10)

  1. From the Network and Sharing Center select the internet connection you need to Share. Figure (11)

  1. Click on the Properties button of the Internet Connection. Figure (12)

  1. Click on the Sharing button of the Internet Connection and select the first option “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”. Figure (13)

  1. The following message telling you that this service won’t be available unless you logged on and the other users won’t share the Internet user name and password. So press OK on this message. Figure (14)

  1. For security you may clear the other two options and click OK. Figure (15)

  1. If you are already connected, you may receive the following message, so please disconnect and reconnect again. Figure (16)

Now if you have another Netbook, Laptop or even a cellular phone within 30 feet you can find your new network and connect to it through any wireless devices.
